Effective date: August 21, 2026
Andrews Counseling and Consulting, PLLC ("ACC," "we," "our") offers a text messaging program for people who ask us to reach them that way. These terms describe what the program sends, how to join it, and how to leave it.
Protected health information you share as a client is governed separately by our Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA. How we handle information you give us through this website is described in our Privacy Policy.
What the Program Is
If you opt in, ACC may send you text messages about your inquiry, appointment reminders, and the scheduling and coordination of services. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
How You Opt In
You join the program by checking the SMS consent box and providing your mobile number on our Contact page, or by giving written consent on an ACC intake or service document.
Consent is not a condition of receiving services. You can request, receive, and continue services from ACC without ever agreeing to text messages.
Message Frequency
Messaging frequency may vary. Messages are sent in response to your inquiry or in connection with scheduling, so the number you receive depends on your own contact with us.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. ACC does not charge for text messages; your mobile carrier may. Check your plan with your carrier.
How to Stop
Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages from that number. To rejoin, reply START.
How to Get Help
Reply HELP to any message, call us at (888) 711-8772, or email info@andrewscounselpllc.com.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and depends on your carrier and your device.
Do Not Send Clinical or Sensitive Information by Text
Standard text messaging is not encrypted. Do not include clinical details, symptoms, or other highly sensitive information in a text message to ACC.
Text messaging is not monitored for emergencies. In a medical or mental health emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you are experiencing emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, or a mental health crisis, call or text 988.
Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used only to deliver the messages described above, through our telecommunications service provider. See our Privacy Policy for the full description.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed.
